RoyalCraft Terms of Service

Document version: v1.2

This English version is a translation provided for convenience. If there is any difference between this version and the Korean original, the Korean original prevails.

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms set forth the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the Company and users in connection with the use of the mobile game “RoyalCraft” and the related network and customer support services (the “Service”) provided by HSTUDIO (에이치스튜디오) (the “Company”).

Article 2 (Definitions)

“User” means a person who agrees to these Terms and uses the Service.

“Guest account” means an account that is used with an identifier assigned by the Company, without being linked to an external platform account.

“Linked account” means an account in which the game information of a guest account has been connected to an external account offered by the Company, such as Google or Apple.

“Content” means digital materials provided in the Service, such as the game, characters, items, in-game currency, and time-limited passes. Content acquired in exchange for payment is referred to as “Paid Content.”

“Paid Currency” means in-game currency acquired through payment that is exchanged for content within the Service or consumed during use of the Service.

“Time-Limited Content” means Paid Content that remains in effect only for the period shown at the time of purchase (e.g., 30 days) and expires once that period has passed. Time-Limited Content is not automatically renewed or charged again, and no additional charges are made unless the user purchases it again.

“Platform” means a business that provides app distribution and payment, such as the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Article 3 (Posting of the Terms and Company Information)

The Company posts its business information, these Terms, and the Privacy Policy within the Service so that they can be easily viewed. Users may save the Terms or obtain a copy through customer support.

The Company separately highlights or explains important matters, such as suspension of the Service, automatic renewal, withdrawal of purchases and refunds, termination of the contract, and limitation of liability, so that users can easily understand them.

Article 4 (Effect of the Terms, the Service Agreement, and Amendments)

The service agreement is formed when the user reviews and agrees to the full text of the Terms and the Company then creates a guest account. The Company does not create a guest account on its servers before the user agrees to the Terms.

The Privacy Policy is a public document concerning the processing of personal information. Agreement to these Terms does not replace any separate consent required by law for the collection and use of personal information, its provision to third parties, or its transfer abroad.

When the Company amends the Terms, it announces the effective date and the details of and reasons for the amendment on the game's start screen or a screen linked from it, beginning 10 days before the effective date. Amendments that are unfavorable to users or material are announced 30 days in advance and notified to users individually. If individual notice is impossible, for example because there is no means of contact or delivery repeatedly fails, an in-Service notice may be used instead.

If a user does not agree to the amended Terms, the user may terminate the service agreement. The Company does not treat mere silence as the user's consent to an unfavorable amendment that the user could not reasonably have anticipated.

Article 5 (Age Requirements and Minors)

Users must comply with the age requirements established by the game's rating and applicable laws. The game is rated for all ages.

Where the consent of a guardian (legal representative) is required by law to process the personal information of a child under the age of 14, the Company processes such information only after obtaining and verifying the guardian's consent.

If a minor purchases Paid Content without a guardian's consent, the minor or the guardian may cancel that contract. The Company informs users of this before purchase. However, cancellation may be restricted where a statutory exception applies, such as where the purchase was made with spending money the guardian permitted the minor to use, or where the minor deceived the Company into believing that he or she was an adult.

Article 6 (Accounts and Security)

Access to a guest account may become difficult if the user changes devices, deletes the app, clears the app data, or resets the device. Users can protect their accounts by using the Google account linking feature.

Users must keep their own devices and external accounts secure and must not transfer or lend their accounts to others or allow others to use them.

Unlinking, suspending, or deleting an external account, signing out, or deleting the app does not constitute deletion of the RoyalCraft account.

The Company may restrict the transfer or recovery of an account if it cannot reasonably verify that the requester is the account owner. However, if account information is lost due to the Company's willful misconduct or negligence, the Company is liable in accordance with applicable laws.

Article 7 (Provision, Changes, and Suspension of the Service)

The Company endeavors to provide the Service reliably. The Company may temporarily suspend all or part of the Service for reasons such as maintenance, outages, responding to security incidents, telecommunications network failures, or natural disasters. In such cases, the Company announces the reason and duration in advance, or, in urgent cases, after the fact.

The Company may change content where necessary for operational or technical reasons or to adjust game balance. For changes that materially disadvantage the use of Paid Content, the Company gives advance notice of the changes and the available remedies.

Article 8 (Obligations of the Company)

The Company complies with applicable laws and these Terms and takes reasonable measures to provide the Service reliably and to protect personal information.

The Company handles users' legitimate inquiries and complaints through customer support and, if handling them requires an extended period, informs users of the reason and the schedule.

Article 9 (User Obligations and Prohibited Conduct)

Users must not engage in any of the following conduct.

  • Misappropriating another person's account, payment method, or personal information
  • Buying, selling, lending, or transferring accounts, Paid Currency, or game information for cash or goods, or brokering such transactions
  • Using the Service with programs, automation tools, or modified clients not permitted by the Company, or by any other abnormal means
  • Exploiting bugs or fraudulently using payment cancellation or refund procedures
  • Infringing the intellectual property or other rights of the Company or third parties, or interfering with the operation of the Service
  • Any other conduct that violates laws, these Terms, or the published operating policy

Article 10 (Restrictions on Use and Appeals)

Depending on the nature and severity of a violation of Article 9, the Company may issue a warning, recover improperly obtained benefits, impose a temporary suspension, or terminate the service agreement. Detailed standards are set out in the operating policy published within the Service.

As a rule, the Company notifies users in advance of the reason for and duration of a measure and how to file an appeal. Where urgent security measures or the prevention of further harm are necessary, the Company may take action first and notify the user immediately afterward.

A user may file an appeal with customer support within 15 days from the date the notice is received, and the Company informs the user of the outcome within a reasonable period. This period does not limit or extinguish the user's statutory rights, such as the right to file a lawsuit or seek dispute mediation.

Article 11 (Paid Content and In-App Purchases)

The Paid Content currently sold is as follows. If products are added or changed, what is shown on the purchase screen governs.

  • In-game currency “Crystals”: Consumable Paid Currency delivered immediately upon payment. Crystals obtained for free are subject to the maximum holding limit shown in the game, and any excess may not be granted; however, crystals purchased with payment are granted in full regardless of the maximum holding limit.
  • Nameplates: Time-Limited Content that applies for 30 days from the date of purchase (Article 12).
  • Race unlocks: Permanent content purchased with crystals.

The Company clearly displays on the purchase screen the seller, product name and description, price and taxes, period of use, time of delivery, payment method, conditions of use, conditions for withdrawal and refunds, and customer support contact details. If a product-specific display is more favorable to the user than these Terms, that display prevails.

Before payment, the Company enables users to review, correct, or cancel the order details, such as the product name, quantity, price, and period of use. Once a contract is concluded, the Company provides the contract details, including the deadline, method, and effect of withdrawal and matters concerning refunds and dispute resolution, as an electronic document, and allows users to view their payment records.

Payments are made through the in-app payment method provided by the Platform, and the relevant Platform's terms also apply to the management of payment methods. Platform policies do not limit users' statutory rights.

Content granted for free or through events is not eligible for refunds and cannot be transferred to another account. However, content granted as part of a paid product is subject to the conditions of that product and applicable laws.

Paid Currency and items are usage rights that can be used within the Service and are not cash or deposits. However, consumers' statutory rights regarding Paid Content remain fully protected.

Article 12 (Time-Limited Content)

Before purchase, the Company clearly displays on the purchase screen for Time-Limited Content the product name, the benefits provided, the period of use (e.g., 30 days), the price, the fact that its effect ends when the period expires, and the fact that it is not automatically renewed or charged again.

The period of use for Time-Limited Content is counted from the time payment is completed and the server confirms delivery. When the period of use ends, the benefit ends automatically and no additional payment is charged.

If the user purchases the same Time-Limited Content again while time remains, the period of use is extended, starting from the end of the remaining period.

Time-Limited Content applies on a per-account basis to the account stored on the server. If the user signs in with the same account, the benefit continues for the remaining period of use even after changing devices.

Withdrawal and refunds for Time-Limited Content are governed by Article 13 and applicable laws. If, during the period of use, there is any period in which the benefit could not be provided for reasons attributable to the Company, the Company takes appropriate measures, such as extending the period of use or issuing a refund.

Article 13 (Withdrawal, Refunds, and Overpayments)

Users may withdraw their purchase (cancel the purchase) within 7 days from the date they receive the electronic document containing the contract details. If the content is received later than the electronic document, the 7 days run from the date the content is received.

If the Company has obstructed withdrawal, for example by failing to provide the electronic document or failing to explain how to withdraw, the withdrawal period may be extended up to the period permitted by law.

Withdrawal may be restricted under applicable laws for the following content: content whose value has been significantly reduced through use, content that is used or applied immediately upon purchase, and digital content whose provision has begun. However, for content provided in installments, the portion not yet received may be withdrawn.

The Company clearly indicates these grounds for restriction before purchase. If it has not done so, it does not assert the restriction to the extent provided by law.

If content is provided differently from how it was displayed or advertised or from the contract details, the user may withdraw the purchase within 3 months from the date of supply and within 30 days from the date the user became aware, or could have become aware, of that fact.

Withdrawal and refunds may be requested through customer support or through the procedures of the Platform (Google Play). Upon a valid withdrawal, the Company refunds the payment within 3 business days from the date of withdrawal. For card or Platform payments, the Company promptly requests the payment provider to stop or cancel the charge, and if the Company has already received the payment, it refunds the payment to the payment provider and then notifies the user. Even for payments made through the Platform, the Company's legal responsibility remains unchanged, and if a refund is delayed, the Company pays it with statutory late-payment interest added.

Amounts paid in error (overpayments) are refunded by the same method used for payment, or, if that is not possible, by a method chosen by the user. Overpayments caused by the Company's fault are refunded in full with statutory interest added. If an overpayment results from the user's input error without any fault on the part of the Company, the user may be required to bear the reasonable costs actually incurred for the refund.

Article 14 (Termination of the Service Agreement and Account Deletion)

Users may request termination of the service agreement and deletion of their account at any time through the in-game “Settings > Delete account” menu or by email to customer support.

Except for transaction and dispute records that must be retained by law, the Company deletes the account and the associated personal information and game information in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Because deleted game progress, items, and currency cannot be restored, the Company clearly informs users of this before deletion.

When an account is deleted, any unused Paid Currency and any Time-Limited Content with time remaining are also forfeited and cannot be restored. The Company reminds users of this again on the deletion confirmation screen.

Article 15 (Termination of the Service)

If the Company terminates the Service for a significant reason, such as closure of its business, the Company posts the termination date, the reason, and the compensation terms on the Service's start screen or a screen linked from it at least 30 days before the termination date, and notifies users individually through in-game per-account notifications or the contact methods held by the Company. If individual notice is objectively impossible, an in-Service notice may be used instead.

The Company refunds, in accordance with applicable laws, any portion of the content provided in exchange for payment that remains unused or has a remaining period of use, and operates a refund and inquiry channel for at least 30 days after the Service ends.

Article 16 (Intellectual Property Rights)

Copyrights and other intellectual property rights in the Service and in content produced by the Company belong to the Company or the rightful holders. Users may use the content only to the extent of normal use of the Service and may not reproduce, distribute, sell, modify, or use it for commercial purposes without the Company's prior permission.

Article 17 (Protection of Personal Information)

The Company complies with applicable laws, including the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) of Korea. The items, purposes, legal bases, and retention periods for the processing of personal information, as well as the AWS-based backend, Firebase, app marketplace payments, transfers abroad, and user rights, are disclosed in the separate Privacy Policy.

Article 18 (Damages and Limitation of Liability)

If the Company or a user violates these Terms through its own willful misconduct or negligence and causes damage to the other party, the party at fault compensates for the damage in accordance with applicable laws.

The Company is not liable if it is unable to provide the Service due to causes that are beyond its reasonable control and do not involve its willful misconduct or negligence, such as natural disasters, war, or telecommunications network failures.

Nothing in these Terms excludes any consumer rights or any liability of the Company that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable laws.

If Paid Content has a problem or the Service is suspended or disrupted due to the Company's fault, the Company takes whichever of the following measures is appropriate: resolving the problem, providing the content again, extending the period of use, issuing a refund, or paying compensation for damages. Compensation standards follow the Guidelines for the Protection of Content Users and the Consumer Dispute Resolution Standards. Users may request compensation through customer support, and the Company promptly informs them of the outcome; if handling takes longer, the Company informs them of the reason and the expected date.

Article 19 (Notices, Governing Law, and Dispute Resolution)

General notices may be posted in the in-Service announcements or on the start screen. Important matters, such as amendments to the Terms that are unfavorable to users, termination of the Service, and restrictions on use, are notified individually through in-game per-account notifications or the contact methods held by the Company. If individual notice is objectively impossible, an in-Service notice may be used instead.

These Terms and the use of the Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.

If a dispute arises, the Company and the user will negotiate in good faith, and if the dispute is not resolved, a lawsuit may be filed with the competent court determined under applicable laws, such as the Civil Procedure Act of Korea.

Supplementary Provisions

These Terms were announced on September 1, 2026, and take effect on September 1, 2026.
